Vocabulary - There will not be a word bank

Cell – The box at the intersection of a row and a column

Columns – Cells that are on the same vertical line

Rows – Cells that are on the same horizontal line

Workbook – The basic Excel document, consisting of one or more worksheets

Worksheet – A page in an Excel Workbook

For the test you should know:

• What Excel is used for
• All equations start with an equal sign
• The 4 mathematical signs
• What the 4 cursor styles are, and what they are used for
• That you always put your first and last name on your work

For the test you should be able to:

1)      Open up a new Excel spreadsheet

2)      Merge and center cells

3)      Enter data

4)      Format data

5)      Insert a function

6)      Write an equation

7)      Use the AutoSum button

8)      Insert a chart or graph

9)      Change the colors on a chart or graph

10)  Save your spread sheet

11)  Print your spread sheet
