Internet – A huge collection of computers around the world that are all connected.

World Wide Web – a collection of millions of pages of information on the Internet.

Web Browser – The software that you use to look at the World Wide Web.

Internet Explorer – Browser made by Microsoft and what we use at school.

Hyperlinks – Special connections between web pages. Hyperlinks have 3 rules:

1) They are usually colored blue

2) The pointer changes to a hand when you move over it

3) If you click on it you go to another page

Back Button – Button on the tool bar that takes you back to the last page you looked at when you click on it.

Search Engine – Special websites that help you search the Internet for information.
